Revelation 11, 12 and 13

as portrayed in the types

of 1 Kings 17:1 - 19:18

and Chp. 21:1-19

Everything we need to understand in the prophecies of Revelation can be found in the Scriptures. We do not have to "out source" to understand the coming events. What is coming will be seen in types and events throughout the Scriptures.  We need to carefully compare scripture with scripture until we find the meaning that is there for the seeker of Truth - the Truth that will be revealed by YaHuWaH's Ruwach.

In Revelation 10:11, Yahuwchanan (John) was told that it was necessary for him to prophecy further about many peoples, nations, languages and kings. Then comes the prophecy of the "two witnesses" who are to prophecy for 1260 days. One of these witnesses has the "authority" to "close the heavens that it rains not during the days of their speaking"! Now to where in the Word does that lead you? Who only had such authority and did just that? 1 Kings 17:1 " AliYahuw (Elijah) the Tishbiy, who was of the sojourners of Gil'ad, said to Ach'ab (the Beast), "As YaHuWaH, the Aluahiym of Ysra'al, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word." And, remember, that before the great and dreadful Day of YaHuWaH, AliYahuw was to be sent again! In the very words given to us in Rev. 11:6,  YaHuWaH is telling us "where" to go in His Word to find understanding about the events portrayed in Revelation 11, 12 and 13.   And at the "return"  of "AliYahuw" in the last days the very same apostacy will be addressed: Either worship and obey the Eternal One - YaHuWaH - or worship and obey "The lord - Ba'al - Satan " - embodied in the Beast and Iyzebel the false prophet.

The man: AliYahuw (Elijah) is abruptly introduced in 1 Kings 17:1  - "And AliYahuw…" - and he arrives on the scene of gross apostasy. Normally the parentage of the prophets is mentioned but AliYahuw's parentage is omitted. AliYahuw is a Tishbite, from the little village of Tishbe on the other side of the Yarden River.  It appears that he was naturally of a "rough" ruwach (spirit) and was called to do "rough" work for YaHuWaH.  ... and like Yahuwchanan the Immerser, who dwelt in the desert and came in the Ruwach and Power of AliYahuw, he did not mince words or "soft peddle" his message.  His "entrance" into the world of Ysra'al is a foreshadowing of his "entrance" into the world in which we live - unannounced, no fanfare, no explanations - he will just appear on the scene when YaHuWaH decides that he should appear - to confront the Beast!  Whether "he" is a person, group, or a "supernatural" being, cannot be established at this point in time - though there are many "opinions". YaHuWaH will provide what we need to know, when the need arises.
(AliYahuw = My Al, YaHuWaH Is He)

Upon reading the events presented in 1 Kings 17:1-19 and chapters 18-19, the reader will note that AliYahuw had two distinct "fleeings". The first, was one of being "hidden and nourished" from Ach'ab by the workings of YaHuWaH - reaching up to the time that all Ysra'al was gathered to Mt. Karmel to witness the "fire fight" between Ba'al (The lord) and the True Aluahiym of Ysra'al, YaHuWaH. The second "fleeing" was one of great haste - "he fled for his life" from the threats of Iyzebel - the false prophetess of Ba'al (The lord). Both of these "fleeings into the wilderness" are pictured in what follows.

We need to consider carefully AliYahuw (Elijah) and his dealings with Ach'ab (Ahab - the Beast) and Iyzebel (Jezebel/the False Prophet/whore) - also seen in the study below of Chp. 21:1-19.  The events pictured in 1 Kings 17:1-19; and chapters 18-19, closely parallel the events in Revelation 11, 12, and some of 13 - including the time line;  almost all of Revelation 12 is foreshadowed in these texts, giving us an outline of what will transpire during the times of Revelation 11, 12, and 13.
1 Kings 21: 1-17  reveals the intimate relationship of the two beasts of Revelation 13. Further scriptural study will enlarge upon what is revealed here. Truly, YaHuWaH's Word is awesome and reveals to us the hidden treasures of His Greatness!

Both, 1 Kings 17:1 through 18:45 and 1 Kings 21:1-17, are divided into two distinct scenarios that complement each other:  (1.) The first fleeing into the wilderness is all about Achab (the Beast) and Ysra'al- personified in AliYahuw and extends to the his "fire fight" with the prophets of Iyzebel. This is pictured again in the dealings of Achab (the Beast) with Naboth (Ysra'al) up to the time that Achab goes into his house and lays down with his face to the wall and eats no bread.  Iyzebel is not in the picture in either of these scenarios.  (2.) The second flight into the wilderness is brought about because of Iyzebel's threats - her entry into the scene. This is again pictured when Iyzebel "resurrects" Achab - "arise and eat" - after he had gone into his house, and laid down with his face to the wall and eats no bread "; she then takes control of the situation giving to Achab (the Beast) Naboth's vineyard - the world. This closely parallels the events of Revelation 13 and the two Beast. ... where the emphasis is on the second beast that is responsible for deluding the world into worshiping the first Beast by the passage of laws and use of intimidation.

Time Elements:

In Revelation 12:6  we have the "first wilderness flight" of 1260 days, and this corresponds to the same 1260 days of Rev. 11:3 - the two witnesses' messages of "lamentations, mourning, and woe" (Yehezqel 2:8-10). It is pictured in 1 Kings 17:1 through 18:45. In the prophetic allegory of 1 Kings 21:1-17 that follows this study, these 1260 days would bring us to the time of the "wounding of the beast" - pictured in verse 21:4.  What follows after this verse involves the "time, times, and a half time of Revelation 12:14; and the 42 months of Revelation 11:2 and 13:5, which is pictured in the "second fleeing" of Revelation 12:14 and 1 Kings 19:1-18.
There is a lot going on in this last seven years of time which is pictured throughout the rest of Revelation as well as many prophecies in the TaNaK - it may take a bit of "doing" to blend these time periods and prophecies together, but it is well worth the time and effort to do so. It was written for us to "see" and understand! And YaHuWaH by His Ruwach will guide us!

The "first fleeing" of Revelation 12:6.
The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by YaHuWaH, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred sixty days (3 years and six months) .... just as AliYahuw [Elijah] was "nourished/fed" during his "first fleeing" for a period of three and one-half years - which began at the brook Keriyth - drinking its water and being fed by ravens that YaHuWaH had commanded to feed him, and then to a widow of Tsarephath in Tsiydown (likened to Babel) that YaHuWaH had commanded to sustain him (... where she has a place prepared by YaHuWaH,  to be "nourished there" ! )

According to the texts that follow this summary, the following events transpire during the "first fleeing"  into the wilderness for 1260 days. ... this is the "same 1260 days" of Revelation 11.

1. It begins with the "prophesying"of the Two Witnesses who "confront" the rising Beast power. (Rev. 11:3)
2. This will bring about the persecution of Ysra'al [the woman] and cause her to flee into the wilderness; this is the same length of time that the two witnesses are "prophesying".
3. During this first flight, "Two Sticks" are gathered, pointing to the beginning of the re-unification of the "Whole House of Ysra'al"...  and later foreshadowed in the rebuilding of the altar with 12 stones just before the "fire test" with the prophets of Ba'al ... this could point to the fact that this final  "re-unification" takes place at the very last part of the 1260 days and just before the second fleeing and the death of the two witnesses by the hand of the Beast.
4. YaHuWaH's people are "hidden away" from the wrath of the Beast as pictured in the hiding of YaHuWaH's prophets in caves and being fed bread and water - the text infers that they were being hunted.
5. The Beast by one method or another tries to slay the "Two Witnesses" - "Troubler of Ysra'al". (Rev. 11:5)
6. After the complete re-unification of Ysra'al typified in the "repairing of the altar" using 12 stones - "Ysra'al shall be your name" - then comes the "fire fight" with the prophets of Ba'al who "eat at Iyzebel's table" (this links us to Rev. 2:19-23) which they do not win. This will bring about and end to the "drought" with a great outpouring of "rain" to water the earth (Yahuw'el 2:28-32) -- a preparation for bringing in the "great throng" of Rev. 7:9 who come out of the "great tribulation."
7. The loss of this "fire" fight during this "first fleeing", will unmask "churchanity" with all its false prophets - [their death] - in the eyes of most of the masses.  (It seems that Ysra'al may come "out of hiding" for a short time at this event.??) ... after which the Beast from the abyss will "kill" the "Two Witnesses" resulting in a world-wide rejoicing! ... and gift giving (x-mas time - birthday of tamuz?) Rev. 11:10 Those who dwell on the earth gloat over them, and celebrate and shall give gifts to one another, because these two prophets had been a torment [vexation/troubler] to those who dwell on the earth.
8. This killing of the false prophets will bring forth the great "death threat" by Iyzebel/whore/false prophet - the 2nd beast of Revelation 13 - whose goal is to completely destroy Ysra'al and give the "kingdom" to the first Beast. (see study below on Rev. 13)
9. This "death threat" will bring about the "2nd fleeing" of Ysra'al on two wings of a great eagle.

This is an  "overview" with texts, of what is discussed above:

1.  [1 Kings 17:1 - AliYahuw the Tishbiy, who was of the sojourners of Gil'ad, said to Ach'ab, "As YaHuWaH, the Aluahiym of Ysra'al, lives, before Whom I stand, there shall be dew nor rain these years, but according to my Word."] Here we have AliYahuw's confrontation with Ach'ab (the Beast) - (in the "Two Witnesses" sackcloth message) - he gives the prophecy of the coming drought which is the type of the 1260 days of Rev. 11:3 - I shall give unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophecy one thousand two hundred sixty day, clothed in sackcloth ... and 12:6 - The woman fled into the wilderness where she has a place prepared by YaHuWaH, there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. ...  both of these texts use "1260 days" and is the only time these terms are used in the Scriptures - identifying that these times are concurrent events.
2.  [1 Kings 17:2-16] After AliYahuw (Elijah) confronts Ach'ab (the Beast) he is sent into the wilderness to be sustained by ravens: bread and flesh in the mornings and evenings - YaHuWSHuWaH is the Bread of life and His "flesh" is meat indeed, and water is symbolic of the Word; later he is sent to a  widow of Tsiydown - not of Ysra'al- and the same place from which Iyzebel comes. In YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 23  there is a prophecy concerning Tsiydown that links it to what is said of Babel in Rev. 17 & 18 - so this may point to Babel sustaining Ysra'al at this time - at the command of YaHuWaH!  One way or another Ysra'al (the "woman of Rev. 12") is still being miraculously fed/nourished for 1260 days - during the first "wilderness journey" of Rev. 12:6. [Concerning "Babel": there are three components of "Babel". The political, the economic and the religious. ... "the Great City was divided into three parts". YaHuWaH's people will always be in the "political/national" part of Babel until the gathering at the last days, this is abundantly clear in all the prophecies. However, YaHuWaH wants us to flee from the religious and the economic aspects of Babel on which so many depend .... YaHuWaH, Alone, should be the One on Whom we rely, respect, worship and obey! ... even though we will be in the political/national part of Babel.]
3.  [1 Kings 17:12 - "Behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and bake it (the cake)... "] After he is sent to the widow of Tsiydown, "Two Sticks" are gathered by the widow woman to bake a cake - [has she lost her "husband" - Ba'al, god, lord, je-zus?] - this gathering of 'two sticks' points to the re-unification of Ysra'al during the 1260 day period.
4.  [1 Kings 18:4 - "ObadYahuw took one hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.",  also vs. 13]  Here we see the hiding of "YaHuWaH's prophets in caves" and being fed with bread
[YaHuWSHuWaH] and water [the Word] - again pointing to Ysra'al being nourished during this 1260 day drought of Rev. 12. The hiding of the prophets was done by a "servant" of Ach'ab (the Beast) - a part of his inner circle.
5.  [1 Kings 18:10-11 - "... there is no nation or kingdom, where my master has not sent to seek you ..."]  Ach'ab searches for AliYahuw (Rev. 11:7 - "When they have completed their testimony, the Beast coming up out of the abyss will make war against them and will overcome them, and will kill them off.").
6.  [1 Kings 18:17- "It happened, when Ach'ab saw AliYahuw, that Ach'ab said to him, "Is that you, you troubler of Ysra'el?"] Ach'ab meets AliYahuw (Elijah) - the "troubler of Ysra'al " [Rev. 11:10 Those who dwell on the earth gloat over them, and celebrate and shall give gifts to one another, because these two prophets had been a torment [vexation/troubler] to those who dwell on the earth.]
7.  [1 Kings 18:30-32 - "AliYahuw took twelve stones, according to the number of tribes ... with the stones he built and altar ..."] The repairing of the altar with 12 stones "in the Name of YaHuWaH" - (all 12 tribes) - pointing to the complete re-unification of the "two sticks" -  "Ysra'al shall be your name." all during the "first fleeing". ... and occurring just before the "final - (2nd) - fleeing into the wilderness".
8.  [1 Kings 18:19-39] Here we have portrayed the challenge of the "fire from the sky".  It is possible that this foreshadows the "war in heaven" of Rev. 12  and the "wounding of the beast" in Revelation 13. Also seen in Revelation 11:5-6.  [In Revelation 13:13 there is the false "test by fire" pictured in 2 Kings 1:10-12 which Iyzebel (2nd beast of Revelation 13) mimics to bolster her claim as a "prophetess" on behalf of the first beast as seen in the events of Rev. 11:5-6.]
9. [1 Kings 18:40 - "Seize the prophets of Ba'al ... AliYahuw brought them to the brook Qiyshown, and killed them there."]  The killing of the prophets of Ba'al who "eat at Iyzebel's table" (this links us to Rev. 2:19-23) - points to "Babel/churchanity being unmasked for what it is" during the "Two Witnesses" sackcloth message and may point to the time at which YaHuWah begins to remove His "Breath - Ruwach" from all churchanity.
10.  [1 Kings 18:42-45] The killing of the false prophets brings an end of the "drought", and a great outpouring of "rain" upon the earth - the great "final harvest" of YaHuWaH which come out of the "great tribulation".

What follows is a summary of the types foreshadowing the "second fleeing" of Revelation 12:13-14 as shown in 1 Kings 19:1-14.

Revelation 12:13-14  When the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness - to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

This second "fleeing" is brought about by the threat of extinction by Iyzebel/2nd Beast - (Then Iyzebel sent a messenger to AliYahuw, saying, “So let the mighty ones do to me, and more also, if I don’t make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time!” When he saw that, he arose, and went for his life) - and this will cause Ysra'al to "go for her life" - on two wings of a great eagle - back into the wilderness where she had been before. And according to the types, the following events transpire during this final "time, times, and half a time" or the 42 months of the reign of the Beast and the trampling of set-apart city under foot by the gentiles for 42 months.

1. On Ysra'al's journey back to the wilderness, there is the juniper tree  experience pointing to the death of some of Ysra'al , but those that are left are nourished and strengthened by YaHuWaH's Messengers. "Awakened and fed." -  our bread and water are assured - for body and soul.

2. There is a "40 day and night" journey to Choreb, the Mountain of YaHuWaH. (The number "40" is always associated with a time of transition, trial, or testing which is pictured in the events of Rev. 12:15-17 and Rev. 13.) It was at this Mountain, that Ysra'al was born and "married" to her Husband, YaHuWaH. Here she was given the "Path - Torah" that she was to walk and promised the protection of her Husband. She was created to be a "Praise to YaHuWaH".

3. At YaHuWaH's Mountain, Ysra'al , [personified in AliYahuw], comes "face to face" with her Creator, her Husband, and her Judge as shown in Yehezqel [Ezekiel] 20:33-39 "As I live, says the Master YaHuWaH, surely with a mighty Hand, and with an outstretched Arm, and with wrath poured out (the plagues), will I be King over you: and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered, with a mighty Hand, and with an outstretched Arm, and with wrath poured out (the plagues); and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim [Egypt], so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Sovereign YaHuWaH.  I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant ...  and this: verses 38-39 ... and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and those who disobey against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, and/but they shall not enter into Eretz-Ysra'al : and then you will know that I AM YaHuWaH!" (the setting for this verse is The Great Day of YaHuWaH -  the very end of His Wrath)

4. Later,  after this "face to face" encounter with YaHuWaH, AliYahuw was "taken by YaHuWaH" into the sky!

YashaYahuw [Isaiah] 27:12-13 It shall happen in That Day, that YaHuWaH shall thresh from the flowing stream of the Parath to the brook of Mistrayim [Egypt]; and you shall be gathered one by one, children of Ysra'al . It shall happen in That Day that a Great Shofar shall be blown (Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement); and those who were ready to perish in the land of Ashshuwr/Assyria/Babel, and those who were outcasts in the land of Mistrayim/Egypt/churchanity, shall come; and they shall worship YaHuWaH in the qodesh mountain at Yahrushalom." Matt.  24:31 He shall send out His Messengers with the sound of the Great Shofar , and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.  Yahuw'al 2:32 It will happen that whosoever shall call on the Name of YaHuWaH shall be delivered/rescued/saved;  for in Mount Tsiyown and in Yahrushalom there shall be those who escape [are delivered], as YaHuWaH  has said, and in the remnant, those whom YaHuWaH shall call.

Second Wilderness flight of Revelation 12:13-14 as seen in the types of 1 Kings 19:1-14

1.  [1 Kings 19:1-2 - "Ach'ab told Iyzebel all that AliYahuw had done" ... her threat ....  "So let the mighty ones do to me, and more also, if I don't make your life as the life of one of them ...."]  The "second fleeing" begins with Iyzebel's threat and brings about the "fleeing into the wilderness"  of (Rev. 12:13 - "When the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth , he persecuted the woman ... Two wings of the great eagle was given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness - to her place.")
2.  [1 Kings 19:3-18]  Here the second wilderness flight begins - (AliYahuw went for his life - two wings of a great eagle) AliYahuw flees into the wilderness to Choreb, -  Mountain of YaHuWaH, where the Law/Torah was given, where Ysra'al was born, where the wedding contract was made. (Rev. 12:14-16 - "... so that she might be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. The serpent spewed water out of his mouth after the woman like a flood that he might cause her to be carried away by the river." - one translation has "like the deluge"!). [5th Trumpet - 1st Woe]

3. Concerning the 40 day journey to the Mountain of YaHuWaH  ... '40' is always associated with trial, transition or testing - and this will be a time of "testing" and "trial" for YaHuWaH's Ysra'al- this number "40" should remind us of the first mention of this number in the Scripture - that of the forty days of the deluge when "the windows of heaven" were opened and the "fountains of the deep" broken up - a time of great distress and trial for those within the ark ... which is a type of what will be happening during the very last part of the "time, times, and a half time" of the second "fleeing" - ""The Great Day of YaHuWaH"  - see the page on that subject!)  Before AliYahuw begins his journey, he sits under a juniper tree and desires to die as he is no better than his fathers - and then lays down and sleeps.  This may point to the death of YaHuWaH's faithful as pictured in Dani'al and Revelation during the "time, times, and a half of time" and the 42 month reign of the Beast - when the Beast/Little Horn makes war on YaHuWaH's people and overcomes them.
4. For a small remnant though, there will be the experience at the Mountain of YaHuWaH, where AliYahuw (representing Ysra'al ) has his "judgment experience" with the Presence of YaHuWaH [see Ezekiel 20:33-39  above] -  this is during the "time, times, and a half of time both of Revelation and Dani'al",  and the 42 month reign of the Beast - and comes at the very last part of "time" when all the world is against Ysra'al and looking forward to her destruction .... as seen in the 10 days of Rev. 2:10 study and The Great Day of YaHuWaH page.  But YaHuWaH has promised our deliverance! [YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 27:12-13; Ps. 50:3-5;Yahuw'el 2:32.]

A note concerning the "taking of AliYahuw into the sky" - and the "gathering" of Ysra'al in the Last Days.

In 1 Kings 18:11-12,  this is what ObadYahuw, Ach'ab's servant, said to AliYahuw: "Now you say, ‘Go, tell your master, “Behold, AliYahuw is here!”’ It will happen, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Ruwach of YaHuWaH will carry you I don’t know where; and so when I come and tell Ach'ab, and he can’t find you, he will kill me."  It appears from this statement, that such an event was not something unusual or unexpected!  And remember, that after AliYahuw was taken into the sky, the sons of the prophets went to find him - expecting that he had been set down on some mountain! It happened before to a number of prophets - Yehzeqel being a prime example and in Acts to Phillipos.

In 2 Kings 2: 11 we have this: "It happened, as they still went on, and talked, that behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them; and AliYahuw went up by a whirlwind into the sky.  2:12 Aliyshua saw it, and he cried, “My father, my father, the chariots of Ysra'al and its horsemen!"   [however, seven years after this, AliYahuw sent a letter to Yehoram as seen in 2 Chronicles 21:12-15]. ... so he was not transported into "heaven" as some believe.

In the "judgment" passage in Yehzeqel 20:33-39 and in other "gathering" prophecies as seen below, YaHuWaH plainly states that we will be "gathered" in a "supernatural way" to where He wants us to be, and this taking of AliYahuw into the sky by the "chariots of fire" is undoubtedly a type of this upcoming "gathering" of His people.  Again, the experiences of AliYahuw have great meaning for the Ysra'al of today! "He (YaHuWSHuWaH) shall send out His Messengers with the sound of the Great Shofar [Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement], and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other." How Beautiful is His Word!

A Prophetic Allegory of Revelation 13 as seen in 1 Melakim (Kings) 21:1-17 - embracing the following texts:

Yahuw'al (Joel) 2:17 "Let the priests, the ministers of YaHuWaH, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare Your people, YaHuWaH, and don’t give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their Aluah?’”

Yahuw'el 2:32  "It will happen that whosoever shall call on the Name of YaHuWaH shall be delivered (saved);  for in Mount Tsiyown and in Yahrushalum there shall be those who escape [are delivered], as YaHuWaH  has said, and in the remnant, those whom YaHuWaH shall call."

YashaYahuw [Isaiah] 27:12 "It shall happen in That Day, that YaHuWaH shall thresh from the flowing stream of the River to the brook of Mitsrayim (Egypt); and you shall be gathered one by one, children of Ysra'al . 27:13 It shall happen in That Day that a Great Shofar shall be blown (Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement); and those who were ready to perish in the land of Ashshuwr/Assyria/Babel, and those who were outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim/Egypt/churchanity , shall come; and they shall worship YaHuWaH in the qodesh Mountain at Yahrushalom. " (gathering of the living Set-apart ones)

Matt. 24:31 & Marq 13:27  "He shall send out His Messengers with the sound of the Great Shofar [Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement], and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other."

Note: From what appears in the following study of types from 1 Kings 21:1-17 and Mark 6:17-28 (the beheading of The Immerser) as well as the texts in Rev. 13 that deal with the two beasts, it becomes clear that the first beast is a "political" power - a head of state, king, etc.; and the second beast who "gives the world" to the first beast is a religious power [false prophet] that is "married" to the first beast. This religious power influences the legislative power of this state to pass and enforce laws (Dani'el 6) that will benefit the "resurrected" first beast.  It may come about much like the way laws are sometime generated by powerful commercial entities in the democratic states: i.e., "you write the law and we will pass it" (see again Dani'el 6)! And if the types are true, then both these beast are likely of the same nation and the second beast with its two horns must have the "laws generated on behalf of the first beast" signed into "law" by the first beast, itself - it's a democracy!

The Players: 1. Ach'ab (The Beast), 2. Iyzebel (Jezebel - the False Prophet/Whore who wears "two hats" - the crown of a queen and the turban of a priestess of Ba'al!), and 3. Nabowth (Ysra'al ). Keep in mind that Iyzebel is not of Ysra'al , but of Tsidown (likened to Babel), and is the false prophetess who leads YaHuWaH's people astray. She uses the "powers of the state" to bring about her plans to "give the kingdom to the Beast". Both the Beast and the False Prophet are people, as both are thrown into the lake of fire!
It should be noted here - and this is borne out in Rev. 13 - that Iyzebel (the False Prophet/Whore) though always present in the background, does not come on the scene "with power" until after Ach'ab (the Beast) "goes to his house (YashaYahuw 14:18-19), lays down with his face to the wall and does not eat"  - (receives his deadly wound!)  - after which he is "resurrected" by Iyzebel the false prophetess ("arise and eat") [This is also seen in the study above.] Up to that time, the Beast's dealings with Ysra'al have not been a total success, i.e., during the first "wilderness journey". It is only after Iyzebel's intervention that he gains "the kingdom!" This teaches us, that it is not the First Beast of Revelation 13 that is to be greatly feared, but the Second Beast that has "two horns" - wears "two hats" - one a "crown" the other a "priestly turban", something that by Torah Law was not allowed. (
Only YaHuSHuWaH is allowed to be a priest upon His throne!)  ..... and "she" is the one who gives the "kingdom" to the image of the Beast using the power of the state! See Yehzqel 21:25-26 How awesome and "one" is the Word!

(The "vineyard" has various meanings, depending on the context.)

1 Kings 21:1 It happened after these things, that Nabowth [Ysra'al ] the Ysra'a'liy had a vineyard, [The Remnant of Ysra'al and the Everlasting Inheritance] which was in Ysra'al , near the palace of Ach'ab [the Beast] sovereign of Shomerown [the World].

21:2 Ach'ab [the Beast] spoke to Nabowth [Ysra'al ], saying, “Give me your vineyard [The Remnant of Ysra'al and the Everlasting Inheritance, - He wanted control of the entire world  but Ysra'al 's stood in his way] that I may have it for a garden of herbs [the counterfeit kingdom of the Beast - false Eden], because it is near to my house; and I will give you for it a better vineyard [Satan's kingdom under the Beast] than it.  Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.” [being a part of commercial Babel - able to buy and sell]

21:3 Nabowth [Ysra'al ] said to Ach'ab [the Beast], “May YaHuWaH forbid me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you!” [The Kingdom of YaHuWSHuWaH and His Righteousness - Endless Life/New Earth - all the promises of Torah]

21:4 Ach'ab [the Beast] came into his house [Isaiah 14:18-19] sullen and angry because of the word which Nabowth the Ysra'a'liy had spoken to him; for he had said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” He laid himself down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. [And I saw one of his heads, as having been slain to death ....]
21:5 But Iyzebel [2nd Beast/False Prophet - see also Rev. 2:19-23] his wife came to him, and said to him, “Why is your spirit so sad, that you eat no bread?”

21:6 He said to her, “Because I spoke to Nabowth the Ysra'a'liy, and said to him, ‘Give me your vineyard for money; or else, if it pleases you, I will give you another vineyard for it.’ He answered, ‘I will not give you my vineyard.’” [Ysra'al refuses to follow the Beast]

21:7 Iyzebel [2nd Beast/Harlot/False Prophet] his wife said to him, “Do you now govern the kingdom of Ysra'al [the World]? Arise, and eat bread, and let your heart be merry. [... and his deadly wound was healed - (he is "resurrected" by Iyzebel).] I will [2nd Beast] give you the vineyard of Nabowth [the Remnant of Ysra'al ] the Ysra'a'liy.” 21:8 So she wrote letters in Ach'ab’s [the Beast's] name, and sealed them with his seal (mark), [Rev. 13:12 He exercises all the authority of the first Beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship (obey) the first Beast, whose deadly wound was healed.] and sent the letters to the elders and to the nobles who were in his city, who lived with Nabowth. 21:9 She wrote in the letters, saying, “Proclaim a fast [Yom Kippur - The Great Shofar], and set Nabowth [Ysra'al ] on high among the people. [Luke 21:12 But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you and shall persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My Name’s sake. 21:13 It shall turn out as a witness for you.] 21:10 Set two men [He had two horns like a lamb], base fellows, before him, and let them witness against him, saying, ‘You cursed Aluahiym [god] and the sovereign [the beast]!’ Then carry him out, and stone him to death.”

[13:15 It was given to him to give life to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak [bring forth actions, laws, etc.], and cause to be killed as many as would not worship (obey) the image of the beast. 13:7 It was given to him to fight with the Set-apart ones, and to overcome them.   Rule over every tribe, people, tongues, and nations was given to him. ]

21:11 The men of his [Nabowth's/Ysra'al ] city, even the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Iyzebel [2nd Beast] had sent to them, according as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. [Rev. 13:15 ... and cause to be killed as many as would not worship (obey) the image of the Beast . Matt. 24:10 Then the many shall stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.  24:11 Many preachers of the Lie shall arise, and shall lead the many astray. 24:12 Because iniquity shall be multiplied the love of the many shall grow cold; Marq 13:12  Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death, ... 13:13 You will be detested by all men for My Name’s sake, but he who endures in My Name to the end, the same will be delivered.]

21:12 They proclaimed a fast [Yom Kippur - Great Shofar], and set Nabowth [Ysra'al ] on high among the people. [Luke 21:12 But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you and shall persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My Name’s sake. 21:13 It shall turn out as a witness for you.]
21:13 The two men, the base fellows, [the two horns - both false witnesses - (there must always be two witnesses to establish a matter)] came in and sat before him. The base fellows witnessed against him, even against Nabowth [Ysra'al ], in the presence of the people, [Rev. 13:13  And he does great signs, so that he even cast fire down from the heaven on the earth in the presence of  men.  (2nd Kings 1:10 - "If I am a man of Al, let fire come down from the sky and consume you and your fifty"! The fire of Al came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty" - future false test.)]  saying, “Nabowth [Ysra'al ] cursed Aluahiym [god] and the sovereign [the Beast]!” Then they carried him out of the city, and stoned him to death with stones.  [and cause to be killed as many as would not worship (obey) the image of the beast.]
21:14 Then they sent (the Elders and nobles) to Iyzebel [the 2nd Beast Whore], saying, “Nabowth [Ysra'al ] has been stoned, and is dead.”[Rev. 14:13 I heard the Voice from heaven saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in YaHuWaH from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Ruwach haQadosh, “that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.” ]

21:15 It happened, when Iyzebel [2nd Beast] heard that Nabowth  [Ysra'al ] was stoned, and was dead, that Iyzebel [2nd Beast] said to Ach'ab [the Beast], “Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Nabowth [The Remnant of Ysra'al and the Everlasting Inheritance] the Ysra'a'liy, which he refused to give you for money [did not bow before the "buy and sell" decree of the 2nd beast] [ Rev. 12:8 All those dwelling on the earth ... shall worship (obey) him.] for Nabowth (Ysra'al ) is not alive, but dead."

[Rev. 11:7 When they have completed their witness, the Beast coming up out of the abyss [pit of the deep] will make war  against them and will overcome them, and will kill them off .....  11:10 Those who dwell on the earth gloat over them, and celebrate and shall give gifts to one another, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth. 13:14  And he leads astray those dwelling on the earth because of those signs which he was given to do on behalf of [in the presence] of the beast; saying to those dwelling on the earth, to make and image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and resurrected. ]

(The “anti/in place of - Mashiyach" -  and the entire “new world order”, with all their followers, shall believe they have won against YaHuWaH. Ysra'al shall appear destroyed once and for all, along with all that bear witness of Torah and testify of YaHuWSHuWaH.)

21:16 It happened, when Ach'ab [the Beast] heard that Nabowth [Ysra'al ] was dead, that Ach'ab [the Beast] rose up to go down to the vineyard [Ysra'al 's Inheritance] of Nabowth [Ysra'al ] the Yisra'a'liy, to take possession of it. [total control of the world] - [Rev. 13:8 All those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slaughtered Lamb, from the foundation of the world, shall worship (obey) him.]

However!

21:17 The Word of YaHuWaH came to AliYahuw [Elijah] the Tishbite, saying, 21:18 “Arise, go down to meet Ach'ab sovereign of Ysra'al , who dwells in Shomerown. Behold, he is in the vineyard of Nabowth, where he has gone down to take possession of it. 21:19 You shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says YaHuWaH, “Have you killed and also taken possession?”’ You shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says YaHuWaH, “In the place where dogs licked the blood of Nabowth, dogs will lick your blood, even yours.”’”  [Rev. 13:9  If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 13:10 He who brings into captivity, he shall go into captivity. He who kills with the sword, must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the belief of the Set-apart-ones.]  and .....  16:10 The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the Beast, and his reign was darkened. .... 17:16 The ten horns which you saw on the Beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall lay her waste and naked, and eat her flesh, and burn her with fire!  .... Rev. 18:8 Therefore in one day her plagues shall come: death, mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire .... 19:20 The Beast was taken, and with him the Preacher of the Lie who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.  These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

Final comments:  All of what is pictured in 1 Kings 17:1-19 and chapters 18-19 and 1 Kings 21:1-17 bear out the following facts:
1. Though "Iyzebel - the Harlot" is always present in Ysra'al- leading them astray - she does not take "center stage" until after the test-by-fire with her false prophets and their death (1 Kings 18:30-39) or after the "wounding" of the Beast  and his "resurrection" at "her hand" as seen in 1 Kings 21:4-7. The events in these chapters clearly show that when the Beast (Ach'ab) is "on his own" - not helped by Iyzebel - that his conflict with Ysra'al is not truly a success. Keep in mind that Iyzebel wears "two crowns - has two horns", one being the crown of a queen and the other the turban of a priestess of Ba'al!
2.  And, unhappily, since Ysra'al is scattered throughout the world and not terribly visible, their destruction at the hands of Iyzebel and the Beast is accomplished ONLY  by the help of "the elders and the nobles who were in his city, who lived with Nabowth ...  The men of his [Nabowth's/Ysra'al ] city, even the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Iyzebel [2nd Beast] had sent to them, according as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them." (this is said twice!) - our brothers who claim to be part of Ysra'al !

One also needs to take heed to the phrases - "wrote letters", "sent letters", "sent to them", "heard", "did as Iyzebel had sent them" - all of these phrases and words hint at "written laws and decrees", etc. being made by the second beast on behalf of the first beast. .... and bears out the wording of Revelation 13 and the "acts" of the second beast! (see Dani'el 6 for the types)

YaHuWSHuWaH has told us that we would be delivered up by our bretheren and our own families - our enemies will be those of our own household (fellow believers as well as our kin). Keep in mind that the prophets of old were not slain by "outsiders" but by those with whom they associated. YaHuWSHuWaH was not turned over by an "outsider" but by one with whom he daily walked. What has been - will be. Take heed.

There is another occurrence in the Word linked to the one who came in the "Ruwach and Power of AliYahuw" - Yahuwchanan [John] the Immerser - which parallels what is revealed to us in 1 Kings 21:1-17 and Revelation 13. What is depicted in Mark 6:17-28  concerning The Immerser's death by the intrigue of Herodias using the power of the "state"- (her husband, the king ) - emphasizes the power of the "wife" of the "Beast" to bring about the destruction of YaHuWaH's people ... here, she has her "daughter" dance before the king on his birthday (a time of gift giving) before many dignitaries (the UN?). In these verses, there is seen again - in type - the power that the "harlot" has over the "king" to cause the destruction of those who serve YaHuWaH.  And like the "witnesses" of Revelation 11 who were killed after completing their witness likewise,  after Yahuwchanan the Immerser finished his "witness of YaHuWaH's Saving/Deliverance by YaHuWSHuWaH, he, too, was killed!  [Rev. 11:7 When they have completed their testimony, the Beast coming up out of the abyss [pit of the deep] will make war  against them and will overcome them, and will kill them off.]  He who has ears let him hear!

A speculative final note: In 2 Kings 5:1-19 there is an interesting "story" concerning Na'aman, an Ysra'al'ite maiden, and Aliyshua which this writer feels is possibly prophetic. In reading the account in the Scriptures these points are brought out:
1. Na'aman was a person of ability and power in Aram (Asshuwr/Assyria/Babel).
2. He was a great man and honorable with his his sovereign.
3. He was introduced to YaHuWaH by a "least one" of Ysra'al , a captive of "Babel".
4. The experience at first was not a happy one - in fact he was angry and denying.
5. Eventually he became a believer in YaHuWaH, but because his "sovereign leaned on his hand", he, like Nicodemus, became a believer "secretly" - at least for a time - which was acceptable to YaHuWaH - at that point in time.

What this implies is that there may well be an important personage in the "inner circle" of the Beast who will be a secret believer in, and follower of, YaHuWaH - though not an Ysra'al'ite - and may during the "first fleeing" be a help to YaHuWaH's people.
This is also pictured in the "servant" of Ach'ab hiding the prophets in caves to feed them.
