YaHuWaH-IS

It is a matter of following the Scriptural spellings or following the traditions of men! Supposedly these are "acceptable" spellings of His Name. But acceptable by whom? And where are we given permission to do this to His Name? It is truly amazing that some feel they have the "right" to contract or re-spell the Name of our Creator, yet, do not contract or re-spell any part of the names of Barak Hussein Obama, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Osama Ben Laden, Pope Benedict, or ... even your own name! What arrogance is in the heart of man! If such contractions were acceptable, then surely somewhere in the Apostolic Writings it should appear written as such. When it is written or spoken in these forms, one is eliminating the vital "I AM HE - YaHuW" or the "saving - shua" of His Name. Therefore, writing or speaking His Name in this manner is terribly wrong, a breaking of the third commandment and doing violence to the Word! And is truly denying "Who He is". Period!

As mentioned above there are two different spellings of YaHuWSHu'A in the TaNaK. One is yod-heh-waw-shin-waw-ayin and the other is yod-heh-waw-shin-ayin, both vowel pointed to produce YaHuWSHu'A. For YaHuW-SHu'A means I AM HE - (YaHuWaH who) SAVES/DELIVERS!

Debarim (Deut.) 3:21 " I Commanded Yahuwshu'a (yod-heh-waw-shin-waw-ayin

(Strong's # 3091) at that time saying, "Your eyes have seen all that YaHuWaH your Elohiym has done to these two kings: so shall YaHuWaH do to all the kingdoms where you go over." The same spelling is found in Shemoth (Exodus) 17:9 and is the first time that the name Yahuwshua is found in the Scriptures.

In ZekarYahuw 6:11-13 there is a prophecy of what His name would be :"Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns (Rev. 19:12), and set them on the head of Yahuwshu'a (yod-heh-waw-shin-waw-ayin

(Strong's # 3091) the son of Yahuwtsadaq, the high priest: and speak to him, saying, 'Thus says YaHuWaH, Master of Armies, "Behold the Man whose Name is The Branch!" (This "Branch" - Yahuwshu'a - also appears in Zech. 3:8; YirmeYahuw 23:5, 33:15, and in YashaYahuw 11: 1.)

In ZekarYahuw 3:8 we are told that " Hear now, Yahuwshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you; because symbolic men they are: for, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the Branch." Thus, we are being told that "YaHuWSHu'A is the name of our "High Priest."
[Even when the Ibriy spelling of Yahuwshua's name does not contain the "waw", according to Strong, it is still pronounced "Yah-hu-shu-ah. ... noting that the "deceitful scribes" eliminate the "Yah" sound.]

Rev. 19:11-14 I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He Who sat on it is called Trustworthy and True. In righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself - and having been dressed in a robe dyed red in blood - and His Name is called: “The Word of YaHuWaH.

In this name - YaHuWSHu'A - is the "saving/deliverance of YaHuWaH", with the identifying part of the name YHWH inside of it (or Him in the Word - the Son); and the only addition to the Great Name is the "shin" and the "ayin" to produce Ya-huu-shuu-ah.

An important aside is this note I received from Guy Oddo regarding the Name of YaHuWSHu'A:
"When hearing the Name of YaHuWSHu'A spoken, we have the undeniable connection with Yahuwshua ben Nun, the Paleo Pre-type of our Master. Remember that YaHuWaH said to Moshah, "I have made you an 'El to the people" (the similitude of the Father YaHuWaH). Moshah's immediate Right Hand servant/minister was Yahuwshua ben Nun (the similitude of the Son YaHuWSHu'A). In fact the name Yahuwshua - ben - Nun translated means: "I am your deliverer - son of - Perpetuity [perpetual/everlasting]". This in the ebrit (Hebrew) mindset - thought for thought - can be understood as Yahuwshua ben Nun being the pre-type of YaHuWSHu'A the Son of the Everlasting [Father]."

[The Aramaic phrase "B'resheet aytohi hwa miltha" (In the beginning was the Miltha) breaks a most basic rule of Aramaic grammar by combining a feminine noun - miltha- with two masculine verbs for "to be" - aytohi and hwa. This is unheard of in Aramaic literature other than here in verse 1 and in 1 Yahuwchanan.][from AENT - Aramaic English New Testament]

Yahuwchanan (John) 1:1-5 In the beginning (Bereshiyth) was the Miltha (Word/Manifestation/Instance/Substance) [- this manifestation of YaHuWaH’s Nature that “was given a life of its own”], and that Miltha/Word was with Eloah, and Eloha was that Word. The same was with Eloah at the origin [of the Universe]. Everything existed through His hands and without Him not even one thing existed of the things which have existed. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.
[2 Cor. 4:6 For Elohiym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach.]
1:6 There came a man, sent from YaHuWaH, whose name was Yahuwchanan (John). ... 1:8 He was not the Light, but was sent that he might testify about the Light. 1:9 The true Light that enlightens everyone coming into the world. 1:10 He (YaHuWSHu'A) was in the world, and the world existed by His hand [as the Expression of YaHuWaH (v. 1], and the world didn’t recognize Him .... 1:14 The Miltha/Word/Torah was given physical manifestation, (through YaHuWSHu'A - "a body you have prepared for Me" - one translation says - "You have clothed Me with a body") and encamped temporarily among us [Sukkoth's temporary shelters - being born on the first day of Sukkoth and circumcised on the eighth day - The Last Great Day], and we closely inspected His Qabod - the Radiant Shining that comes from the presence of the Father's only-begotten Son, overflowing with empowering favor and truth. Tehillim (Psalms) 40:6-7 Slaughter and offering You didn’t desire. But a body You have prepared for Me*. You have not required burnt offering and sin offering. Then I said, “Behold, I have come. It is written in the scroll of the Book about Me*.
*"But a body You have prepared for Me." Throughout the TaNaK (First Covenant), there is found references to this "Me*". He is seen as - "the Messenger of YaHuWaH and the Word of YaHuWaH (the Word of YaHuWaH came to him/me ...), and is foreshadowed in such texts as" I, even I, am He Who blots out your transgression ..."; in Bereshiyth (Genesis) 19:23, we have this: "Then the Word of YaHuWaH rained on Sedom and on Amorah sulfur and fire from YaHuWaH out of Heaven." All of this bespeaks of the duality of One that is so prominent in the Scriptures. It was this Aspect/Manifestation of the Almighty that was the interacting "Agent" between YaHuWaH - Who no one can see and live - and man in his fallen state. With all of this said, one must keep in mind: "Here, O Yisra'el, YaHuWaH is our Elohiym, YaHuWaH is ONE!" (1 Shemu'el 3:21 YaHuWaH continued to appear in Shiyloh; for YaHuWaH revealed Himself to Shemu'el in Shiyloh by the Word of YaHuWaH.)

YaHuWSHu'A is from the Father:
Yahuwchanan [John] 1:15-18 Yahuwchanan [the immerser] testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was He of Whom I said, ‘He Who comes after me has surpassed me, for He existed before me.’” And out of His completeness we all received empowering favor on top of empowering favor, “because the Torah was given through Moshah; and the Torah’s Beauty, Loveliness, and Truth was manifested through haMashiyach. No one has ever seen YaHuWaH; but the only-begotten Son, Who is within the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known."
Yahuwchanan 3:31 "For He Who comes from the First is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks of the earth. The One Who has come out of the One of the heavens is above all."
Yahuwchanan 13:3 "YaHuWSHu'A knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come out and from YaHuWaH, and was going towards YaHuWaH ...."
Yahuwchanan (John) 16:27-30 "... for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from Eloah. I came out from the Father, and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.” His taught ones said to Him, “Behold, now You speak plainly, and speak no figures of speech. Now we know that You know all things, and do not need for anyone to question You. By this we are persuaded that You did come forth out of the Mighty One [YaHuWaH/Eloah]”
Yahuwchanan 17:2-3 "... even as You gave Him [YaHuWSHu'A] authority over all flesh, He shall give endless life to all whom You have given Him. This is endless life: that they should know You, the only true Eloah, and Him Whom You sent, YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach."
Yahuwchanan (John) 17:7-8 "Now they have known that all things whatever You have given Me are from You, for the Words which You have given Me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew for sure that I came forth from You, and they were persuaded that You sent Me."

Yahuwchanan [John] 14:8 Philippos said to Him, “Master, show us the Father, and that shall be enough for us." 14:9 YaHuWSHu'A said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, yet you haven't recognized Me, O Philippos? He who has seen Me, has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father?' 14:10 do not you believe that I AM in My Father, and the Father is in Me? '

From the Scriptures given below draw you own conclusions. (only a partial listing.)

Actually, only one text is needed - it tells all: YashaYahuw [Isaiah] 44:6 "This is what (1.)YaHuWah, the Sovereign of Yisra'el, and (2.) His Kinsman Redeemer, YaHuWaH of Hosts, says: I AM Aleph wTaw (The First and the Last); and apart from ME there is no Elohiym." (YaHuWaH IS ONE!)

Hoshua 13:4. "But I Myself AM YaHuWaH, your Elohiym since the land of Mistrayim, and you shall be intimately acquainted with no Elohiym save only Me, because except for Me there is no Savior. " and YashaYahuw [Isaiah] 43:3 "For I AM YaHuWaH your Elohiym, the Qadosh-One of Yisra'el, your Savior. I have given Mitsrayim as your ransom, Kuwsh and Seba in your place. ..." 43:11 "I, even I, AM YaHuWaH; and apart from Me there is no Savior." (I AM HE who SAVES ... YAHUW - SHUA)

YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 42:8 “I AM YaHuWaH. That is My Name. I shall not give My Qabod to another, nor My praise to engraved images."

Yahuwchanan [John] 17:19 "For their sakes I Set-apart Myself, that they themselves also may be Set-apart in Truth. 17:20 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in Me through their word, 17:21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us; that the world may believe that You sent Me. 17:22 The Qabod which You have given Me, I have given to them; that they may be one union, even as We are One Union."

More texts: (note: in these quoted texts and throughout all of these pages, one will see that there are many instances where "Elohiym" has been replaced by "YaHuWaH". For those who object to this, please answer this question: If "Elohiym" is not "YaHuWaH", then Who is He?) .... "For Who is Elohiym except YaHuWaH?" Psalms 18:31

Luke 1:16-17 (speaking of The Immerser) He shall turn many of the children of Yisra'el to YaHuWaH, their Elohiym. He shall go before Him in the Ruwach [Breath/Spirit] and power of EliYahuw [Elijah], ‘to turn the hearts of the Fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for YaHuWaH.” Luke 1:76 the Aramaic says: "For you shall go before the Face of Master YaHuWaH to prepare His way."

Luke 1:6-7 Miryam said, “My soul magnifies YaHuWaH. My ruwach has rejoiced in YaHuWaH my Savior ..."

Luke 1:76 "And you, child (Yahuwchanan the Immerser), shall be called a prophet of the Most High, for you shall go before the Face of YaHuWaH to make ready His ways ... " (2 Cor. 4:6 "For Elohiym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach.")

Luke 3:4 "As it is written in the scroll of the words of YashaYahuw [Isaiah] the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of YaHuWaH Make His paths straight."

Luke 2:10-11 The Messenger said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be to all the people. For there is born to you, this day, in the city of Dawiyd the Savior, Who is Master YaHuWaH haMashiyach. (YaHuWaH is the real Mashiyach, Who chose (YashaYahuw 42:1 & 49:7) the vessel of the sinless man - YaHuWSHu'A - "a body you have prepared for Me" - to carry out the deliverance of His people which He had promised - beginning in Bereshiyth (Genesis) 3:15; then to Abraham and all through the rest of the TaNaK ... this promise became a reality at the immersion of YaHuWSHu'A when the Ruwach in the form of a Dove rested and remained on Him --- that is when the Ruwach haKadosh WHO IS YaHuWaH dwelt within Him in all His Fullness! ... and in that "body" of YaHuWSHu'A - the human - (the unique Son of YaHuWaH, of the seed of the woman, of the linage of Dawiyd, and the second Adam), YaHuWaH fulfilled His Promise of deliverance! The ruwach of the human YaHuWSHu'A dwelt side-by-side with the Ruwach of the Father. YaHuWSHu'A spoke many times that He did nothing or said nothing of Himself, but only what He saw (perceived) and heard (perceived) from His Father, i.e., YaHuWaH worked through Him to accomplish His purposes. He was the Lamb - without spot or blemish - of Elohiym fulfilling all types and prophecies and Psalms.

MattithYahuw (Matt.) 1:21-23 "And look! She shall bring forth a son. You shall call His name YaHuWSHu'A, for "He shall save/deliver His people from their sins".” (this is the exact meaning of His Name in Ibriy ..... YaHuW + SHu'A = I AM HE who SAVES/DELIVERS) "Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by YaHuWaH through the prophet, saying, “Behold, the virgin (Yisra'el) shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son. They shall call His name Immanuw'el;” which is, being interpreted, “Our Eloah is with us.”

Matt. 3:3 "For this is he who was spoken of by YashaYahuw the prophet, saying, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the Way of YaHuWaH! Make you straight in the desert a public way to our Elohiym!” also Yahuwchanan (John) 1:23.

Yahuwchanan [John] 1:1 "In the beginning (Bereshiyth) was the Word, and the Word was with YaHuWaH, and the Word was YaHuWaH." [This verse when literally translated says, "In a beginning I AM the Word and the Word I AM with the 'Eloah and 'Eloah I AM the Word."]

Bereshith (Genesis) 1:1 " In the beginning Elohiym ALEPH wTAW created the heavens and the earth."

Hoshua [Hosea] 13: 4 “But I Myself AM YaHuWaH your Elohiym since the land of Mitsrayim; and you shall acknowledge no mighty one but Me, and besides Me there is no Savior."

YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 43:3 "For I AM YaHuWaH your Elohiym, the Qadosh-One of Yisra'el, your Savior. [Mashiyach] ...." and 43:11 "I, even I, AM YaHuWaH; and apart from Me there is no Savior. "[Mashiyach]

YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 44:24 "Thus says YaHuWaH, your Kinsman Redeemer, and He Who formed you from the womb: “I MYSELF AM YaHuWaH, Who makes all things; Who stretches out the heavens all by Myself. [By Myself: “by My Memra” (Living Word) in the Aramaic version; - this agrees with Yahuwchanan 1:1-3.] Who was with Me, spreading out the earth?"

YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 49:26 "... and all flesh shall know that I, YaHuWaH, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Ya'acob.”

YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 45:21-24 "Declare and present it. Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has shown this from ancient time? Who has declared it of old? Haven’t I, YaHuWaH? There is no other El besides Me, a just El and a Savior; There is no one besides Me. “Look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am El, and there is no other. By Myself have I sworn, the Word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness, and will not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. They will say of Me, ‘There is righteousness and strength only in YaHuWaH.’”

Phil. 2:9-11 "Because of this, YaHuWaH raised Him up to the heights of heaven and gave Him a Name that is above every other Name, so that at the Name of YaHuWSHu'A every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that YaHuWSHu'A Ha Mashiyach is Master YaHuWaH, to the esteem of YaHuWaH the Father."

Yahuw'el 2:32 "It will happen that whosoever shall call on the Name of YaHuWaH shall be delivered (saved); for in Mount Tsiyown and in Yahrushalaiym there shall be those who escape (are delivered), as YaHuWaH has said, and in the remnant, those whom YaHuWaH shall call."

Yehezqel 34:23-24 I will set up One Shepherd over them, and He shall feed them, even My servant Alef wTaw Dawiyd; He shall feed them, and He shall be their shepherd. I, YaHuWaH, will be their Aluhiym, and My servant Dawiyd prince among them; I, YaHuWaH, have spoken it.

Rev. 1:4-5 "YaHuWChaNaN [John], to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Favour to you and peace, from Him [the Father], Who is and Who was and Who is coming [- Asher Hu-Howeh, Hayah, waBah -]; and from the seven Ruchot Who are before His throne; and from YaHuWShu'A Ha Mashiyach, the trustworthy witness, the first-born from the dead, and the ruler of the sovereigns of the earth. ... " 1:8 “I AM the Alef and the Taw,” Beginning and End, says YaHuWaH, “Who is and Who was and Who is to come, El Shaddai.”

Rev. 21:6-7 "He Who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I AM making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these Words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me, “It is done! I AM the Alef and the Taw, the Beginning and the End. .... " 22:12-16 “Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with Me, to repay to each man according to his work. I AM the Alef and the Taw, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those doing His Commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, the drug sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, YaHuWSHu'A, have sent My Messenger to witness to you these matters in the assemblies. I am the root and the branch of Dawiyd; Light of Brightness and Star of the Dawn.”

Rev. 2:23 "I shall slay her children with the Death, and all the assemblies shall know that I AM HE (Ani Huw - YaHuW) Who searches the kidneys and hearts. "

Debarim (Deut.) 32:39-40 “See now that I, I AM HE (Ani Huw - YaHuW), There is no Elohiym besides Me. I kill, and I make alive. I wound, and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of My hand. For I lift up My Hand to heaven, and will swear by My Right Hand, And say, I live forever ... " (The "I, I" - duality of One - so often seen when YaHuWaH is speaking of His Saving Powers.)

YashaYahuw (Isaiah) 41:4 "Who has worked and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, YaHuWaH, am the First, and with the Last, I AM HE.”

And finally these texts that will make abundantly clear just Who YaHuWSHu'A IS:

Acts 2:36 “Let all the House of Yisra'el therefore know certainly that Eloah has made this YaHuWSHu'A whom you hanged on a stake, both Master YaHuWaH and haMashiyach.”

Acts 2:38 Kepha said to them, “Each of you reconsider, and be immersed, every one of you, in the Name of the Master YaHuWaH-YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach for the washing away of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Ruwach haQadosh.

Acts 10:36 The word which He sent to the children of Yisra'el, proclaiming good news of peace through YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach - He is Master YaHuWaH of all!

1 Cor. 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by YaHuWaH’s Ruwach says, “YaHuWSHu'A is accursed.” No one can say, “YaHuWSHu'A is Master YaHuWaH,” but by the Qadosh Ruwach.

1 Cor. 8:5-6 For though there are things that are called “gods,” whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many “gods” and many “lords;” yet to us there is one Eloah, the Father, from Whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Master YaHuWaH, YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach, through Whom are all things, and we live through Him.

Phillipians 2:9-11 Which is why YaHuWaH also highly exalted Him, and gave to Him a Name which is above every other name; in order that at the Name of YaHuWSHu'A every knee should bow, of the ones in heavens, and the ones on the earth, and the ones under the earth, And that every tongue should openly acknowledge: YaHuWSHu'A haMashiyach is YaHuWaH, to the esteem of Eloah His Father.

1 Corinthians 15: 45-47 The Scriptures tell us, "And Adam became a living nephesh (self) [Bereshiyth 2: 7]: So the last Adam became a life-making Ruwach. Nevertheless, the body of the ruwach was not first, instead the body of the self, then the body of the ruwach. The first Adam is made of the dust of the earth, the second Adam is Master YaHuWaH from the heavens.

There is so much more, but this should answer the question: "Who Is YaHuWSHu'A?"
